Description

The Barossa Valley, in South Australia, is home to the Kalleske family, where they have been farming and growing grapes since 1853, near the village of Greenock. They consistently produce some of the Barossa’s best quality grapes and have been doing so for 7 generations!

The 120 acre vineyard produces a variety of grapes including Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Chenin Blanc, Petit Verdot, Durif, Viognier, Tempranillo and Zinfandel. The vines vary in age with the oldest remaining vines dating back to 1875 and an overall average age of approximately 50 years. Traditional winemaking techniques are used, with grapes grown organically and biodynamically, to fully maximise the vineyards potential.

Since the first Kalleske wine was released in 2004, they have rapidly gained a reputation for producing top-quality hand crafted wines. The range of wines available is a mix that fully showcases the diversity and excellence of the Kalleske grapes.
